Basketball Recap: Person Has No Trouble Against Southern Alamance

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Williams, Person was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 31-15 victory over the Southern Alamance Patriots. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 40-29 back in January.

Despite the loss, Southern Alamance still got an impressive performance from Sarah Kathryn Maness, who posted eight points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. That was a full 53.3% of Southern Alamance's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Cayla Shaw, who put up four points and five boards.

Person has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-10-1 record this season. As for Southern Alamance, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-17.

Person will square off against Orange at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southern Alamance, they will challenge Providence Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
