Covington and Bethel are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Buccs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bees at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Covington comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Covington fell victim to Troy Christian and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 9-0 to the Eagles.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bethel, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Riverside on Tuesday, sneaking past 2-1. The victory continues a trend for the Bees in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won five in a row.

The team relied heavily on Gabe Veldman, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Brennan Montgomery, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

Bethel pushed their record up to 1-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Covington, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
