Basketball Recap: Kemauri Mack's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Horn Lake over Olive Branch

Horn Lake managed to keep up with Olive Branch until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Eagles came up short against the Conquistadors, falling 59-39. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Conquistadors recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kemauri Mack, who shot 63% from the field en route to 13 points along with five rebounds and five blocks. Thanks to that strong game, Mack now owns an excellent 45.5% shooting accuracy. Loghan Johnson was another key player, putting up 14 points and six assists.

Having lost for the first time this season, Horn Lake fell to 3-1. As for Olive Branch, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Horn Lake wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 62-47 loss against Booneville on the 20th. As for Olive Branch, they will face off against Holmes County Central at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
