Basketball Game Preview: West Jordan Jaguars vs. Pleasant Grove Vikings + Official Tickets

The West Jordan Jaguars will face off against the Pleasant Grove Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

West Jordan is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest defeat since December 6, 2024 on Friday. They lost 67-41 to Skyridge. The Jaguars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-16.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Francine McIntyre, who posted seven points and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Kalei Makakona, who earned seven points and four steals.

Meanwhile, Pleasant Grove strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They took their game with ease, bagging a 70-20 victory over Hurricane. With the Vikings ahead 38-12 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Pleasant Grove's win came from a few key players West Jordan will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Sutton Villa, who dropped a double-double with 15 rebounds and 12 blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaliyah Sikander, who had 12 points in addition to seven assists and four steals.

Pleasant Grove was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hurricane only posted three.

West Jordan's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Pleasant Grove, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
