Shasta came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Foothill Cougars by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in March.

Shasta had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-21, 25-14, 25-21.

Shasta pushed their record up to 12-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Foothill, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.

Coincidentally, Shasta and Foothill will both be playing Oroville the next time they take the court. The Cougars will head out to face the Tigers at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Wolves will play them later in the day, at 9:00 a.m.
