Harrisburg and Pinckneyville combined for 39 shots on goal on Thursday, which explains the impressive six total goals scored. The Bulldogs' defense stepped up to hand the Panthers a 6-0 shutout. Considering Harrisburg have won six matches by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Pinckneyville with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Maggie Hathaway (3), Ava Wilson (2), and Trinity Hathaway.

Harrisburg has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those five contests. As for Pinckneyville, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6-1.

Coincidentally, Harrisburg and Pinckneyville will both be playing Anna-Jonesboro/Cobden the next time they take the pitch. The Bulldogs will head out to face the Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Panthers will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
