Football Recap: Kea'au Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Campbell

Kea'au faced Campbell in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The game between the Cougars and the Sabers didn't end well, with the Cougars falling 34-19. The Cougars lost against the Sabers in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 50-14 score last time.

Kea'au's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Campbell, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kea'au will challenge Hilo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Campbell, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Damien at 5:30 p.m. on September 6.
