Softball Recap: Slocomb Red Tops vs. Satsuma Gators

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Slocomb had no problem doing just that on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Satsuma Gators and snuck past 3-2.

Emma Nichols spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive pitching appearances.
