Football Recap: Grand Valley Mustangs vs. Harding Skippers
Grand Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Harding Skippers 43-14. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Skippers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2019.
A big part of Harding's victory came down to the chemistry between Brady Lawson and his top target Yomar Castellano. Lawson threw for 151 yards and four touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes while Castellano picked up 108 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Castellano didn't just play on offense: he also forced a fumble and made four total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Grand Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Harding, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
