Basketball Recap: Families of Faith Christian Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Marquette Manor Baptist Academy last Tuesday, Families of Faith Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Families of Faith Christian Academy Screaming Eagles lost 66-45 to the Heritage Christian Defenders on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Defenders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 28-15 back in November of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Heritage Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lili Haak, who shot 4-for-7 from downtown and almost dropped a double-double with 18 points and nine rebounds. Those 18 points gave Haak a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sydney Lenting, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 12 boards.

Families of Faith Christian Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. Heritage Christian's victory bumped their record up to 10-12.

Families of Faith Christian Academy has already played their next matchup (against Kankakee Trinity Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Heritage Christian, they have already played their next game, a 58-15 defeat against Calumet Christian on the 22nd.
