Softball Recap: Southwestern Comes Up Short

Southwestern fell victim to Fredonia and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Hillbillies, falling 11-0. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Trojans' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Southwestern's loss dropped their record down to 4-9-1. As for Fredonia, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2.

Looking ahead, Southwestern will host Salamanca at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Fredonia will be paying especially close attention to the Trojans' matchup: after the Trojans face off against the Warriors, they'll take on Fredonia again at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
