Lakeside had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Cambridge on Thursday. The Vikings blew past the Bears 3-0. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Vikings this season.

While Lakeside won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-16, 26-24, 25-13.

Lakeside's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Cambridge, their loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-2.

Coming up, Lakeside will take on Northside in a tournament on Saturday. As for Cambridge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pebblebrook at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
