Liberty waltzed into their match on Wednesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Tahquitz Titans a 12-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Bison, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.
Brooklyn Abeyta tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Julianna Larson was incredible, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-3. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jennessy Lopez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and three runs.
Liberty hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in seven consecutive contests.
