Basketball Game Preview: North Branch Vikings vs. Becker Bulldogs

The North Branch Vikings and the Becker Bulldogs will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

North Branch is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They took a 71-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Big Lake.

Meanwhile, Becker didn't have too much trouble with St. Francis on Friday as they won 92-77.

Becker's win came from a few key players North Branch will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Bryce Paumen, who posted 30 points. Those 30 points gave him a new career-high. Landon Peterson was another key player, putting up 25 points.

North Branch's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Becker, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

North Branch beat Becker 81-74 in their previous matchup back in February. Will North Branch repeat their success, or does Becker have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
