With a playoff win on the line, Olympus rose to the challenge on Monday. They came out on top against the Skyline Eagles by a score of 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Titans: when they faced off against the Eagles last Friday, they had to take a 3-1 defeat.
While Olympus might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Skyline scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 21-25, 25-21, 25-22.
Olympus can attribute much of their success to Luke Howell, who had six digs and three aces.
Howell wasn't the only good server: Olympus was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in six consecutive matchups.
Olympus' victory bumped their record up to 14-11. As for Skyline, their loss dropped their record down to 10-17.
Olympus has already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Wasatch on the 9th. Skyline does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
