Jefferson Independent Day came tearing into Thursday's contest with six straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Southwest Trojans 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-15, 25-16.

Jefferson Independent Day was led to victory by Keira Flanagan and Vivian Sharp. Flanagan had 18 digs, two aces, and one block, while Sharp had 12 digs, four aces, and one block. What's more, Flanagan racked up 25 assists, the most she's had over her last seven matches.

They weren't the only good servers: Jefferson Independent Day was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 11 consecutive matchups.

Despite the loss, Southwest still got an impressive performance from Olivia Hnem, who had 17 digs. Hnem has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last five times she's played.

Jefferson Independent Day's victory bumped their record up to 11-3-2. As for Southwest, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9-1.
