The Wheeling Central Catholic Maroon Knights will face off against the Perry Traditional Academy Commodores at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Perry Traditional Academy took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Wheeling Central Catholic, who comes in off a win.

Wheeling Central Catholic is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past Catholic Central to the tune of 48-0 on Saturday. The victory continues a trend for the Maroon Knights in their matchups with the Crusaders: they've now won four in a row.

Kade Koroneos was his usual excellent self, rushing for 125 yards and three scores on only nine carries, while also picking up 64 receiving yards and one touchdown. Nico Kusic was another key player, rushing for 39 yards and one TD.

Meanwhile, Perry Traditional Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch two weeks ago as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Westinghouse and fell 70-0. While losing is never fun, the Commodores can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 488th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 40th).

Wheeling Central Catholic's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Perry Traditional Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Everything came up roses for Wheeling Central Catholic against Perry Traditional Academy in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as the team secured a 41-12 victory. In that contest, the Maroon Knights amassed a halftime lead of 41-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
