Football Game Preview: Nature Coast Tech Sharks vs. Hernando Leopards

Nature Coast Tech is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Thursday. They will face off against the Hernando Leopards at 7:00 p.m. Nature Coast Tech will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Nature Coast Tech is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They snuck past Weeki Wachee with a 13-7 win.

Meanwhile, Hernando owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 26-0 margin over Lecanto. Considering the Leopards have won five matches by more than 25 points this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Hernando's receiving core played a big role in the win, headlined by Alexis Sway and Carlie Grant. Sway picked up 115 receiving yards and four touchdowns while Grant threw for 164 yards and four TDs while completing 93.3% of her passes. Those 115 receiving yards gave Sway a new career-high.

Hernando's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB five times. The heavy lifting was done by Sway and Skyla McCorts, who racked up four sacks between them.

Hernando's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Nature Coast Tech, their win bumped their record up to 12-3.

Nature Coast Tech took their victory against Hernando in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 24-0 score. Do the Sharks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Leopards turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
