Basketball Recap: Sequoyah Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Sequoyah entered their tilt with Oktaha on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 58-50 victory over the Oktaha Tigers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Indians also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2018.

Sequoyah has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points per game. As for Oktaha, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sequoyah will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Non Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on January 14, 2025. Oktaha also won't see the court for a while: their next match is against Haskell at 4:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
