Panhandle is a perfect 3-0 against Highland Park since October of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Panthers will take on the Hornets at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Panhandle's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.

It was a proper cat-fight when Panhandle faced off against Sunray on Friday. The Panthers claimed a resounding 77-7 win over the Bobcats. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Panthers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 470th, while the Bobcats are ranked 1005th).

Meanwhile, Highland Park took a blow against Spearman on Friday, falling 42-14. The loss continues a trend for the Hornets in their meetings with the Lynx: they've now lost three in a row.

Panhandle has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.6 points over those games. As for Highland Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Everything came up roses for Panhandle against Highland Park in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 64-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
