Volleyball Recap: Oconee County Starts off Right with Win over Oglethorpe County

Oconee County gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Oglethorpe County Patriots. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won three in a row.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Oconee County who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-18, 23-25, 15-4.

Coincidentally, Oconee County and Oglethorpe County will both be playing Calhoun the next time they take the court. The Patriots will host the Yellow Jackets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Warriors will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
