Basketball Recap: Bentonville West Takes a Loss

Bentonville West lost against Fayetteville back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bentonville West Wolverines were outmatched by the Fayetteville Bulldogs and fell 72-43. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 70th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 19th).

Bentonville West's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Fayetteville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-9.

While Bentonville West had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
