Baseball Game Preview: Tyler Legacy Raiders vs. Royse City Bulldogs

The Tyler Legacy Raiders will take on the Royse City Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last six games Tyler Legacy has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Monday, Tyler Legacy narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Rusk 4-3. That's two games straight that the Raiders have won by just one run.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Royse City). Everything went their way against Forney on Friday as Royse City made off with a 15-5 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Bulldogs, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Royse City's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Tyler Legacy, their win bumped their record up to 12-7.

Tyler Legacy came up short against Royse City when the teams last played back in April of 2024, falling 7-2. Can Tyler Legacy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
