Softball Recap: Southern Takes a Loss

Southern managed to slip by Brown the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Trojans came up short against the Bears on Thursday, falling 18-3. The Trojans just can't catch a break and have now endured six defeats in a row.

Southern's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Brown, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southern will square off against Doss at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Brown, they will venture away from home to challenge Jeffersontown at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Chargers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12 runs per game on average), something the Bears will no doubt try to take advantage of.
