Recap: Collegiate Cougars vs. Catholic Crusaders        
        
		
            
 It was a good run, but  the Collegiate Cougars unfortunately witnessed the end of their  four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They were dealt a  62-26 defeat at the hands of Catholic. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest  points Collegiate has scored all season.
 Collegiate's  defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of  Clare Aman, who  scored 11 points along with six  rebounds, and  Josie Smalley who  scored seven points. That was a full 42.3% of Collegiate's points, marking the third time in a row she's  earned more than a third of the team's points.
 Collegiate's defeat  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 8-5. As for Catholic, their win was  their fourth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 10-6.
 Collegiate will  challenge St. Anne's-Belfield at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. St. Anne's-Belfield presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Collegiate in Virginia (St. Anne's-Belfield is ranked 12th, while Collegiate is ranked 83rd). As for Catholic, they will be playing at home against Norfolk Academy at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday.
