Baseball Recap: Shadow Creek Comes Up Short

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Shadow Creek was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They fell just short of the Alvin Yellowjackets by a score of 3-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Sharks in their meetings with the Yellowjackets: they've now lost seven in a row.

Ezequiel Ramirez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on six hits.

On the hitting side, Shadow Creek saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lubin Rincon, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Shadow Creek's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Alvin, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5.

Coming up, Shadow Creek will face off against Manvel at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Manvel 3.4, Shadow Creek 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Alvin, they will venture away from home to square off against Pearland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
