Basketball Recap: Morse Piles Up the Points Against Logan Memorial Education Campus

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Morse's strategy against Logan Memorial Education Campus on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Morse Tigers blew the Logan Memorial Education Campus Eagles out of the water with a 66-31 final score. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-14.

Morse found their leader in freshman Eldren Vergara, who went 5-for-9 to rack up 13 points along with seven assists and three steals. The dominant performance gave Vergara a new career-high in assists. Jamarion Hall was another key player, dropping a double-double with 18 points and ten boards.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Adiel Hernandez, who posted seven points.

The victory got Morse back to even at 12-12. As for Logan Memorial Education Campus, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-18.
