Softball Recap: Woodruff Takes a Loss

Woodruff fell victim to Union County and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to the Yellowjackets. The Wolverines have struggled against the Yellowjackets recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Woodruff's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Union County, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Woodruff will challenge Chesnee at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Union County, they will take on Rock Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bearcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.65 runs per game on average), something the Yellowjackets will no doubt try to take advantage of.
