Basketball Recap: Central Christian Academy's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Central Christian Academy entered their tilt with Sterling on Monday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 54-43 win over the Sterling Black Bears.

Central Christian Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Avery Luckner, who posted 14 points and five assists. Those five assists gave Luckner a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Elaina Magana, who went 5-for-10 to rack up 16 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.

Central Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Sterling, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-15.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Lions duke it out with the Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Central Christian Academy is facing Sedgwick at the right time seeing as Sedgwick is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Sterling, they will take on Ell-Saline on Friday.
