Basketball Game Preview: Woodland Park Panthers vs. Ellicott Thunderhawks

The Woodland Park Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Ellicott Thunderhawks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Woodland Park is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Ellicott played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Lamar and fell 64-32. The Thunderhawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-13.

Woodland Park's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Ellicott, they dropped their record down to 3-7 with the loss, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.

Woodland Park took their victory against Ellicott in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 61-40. In that contest, Woodland Park amassed a halftime lead of 37-14, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
