Basketball Recap: Boyd Piles Up the Points Against Westlake Academy

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lebanon Trail, Boyd was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Westlake Academy Blacksmiths 77-31. The win was some much needed relief for the Yellowjackets as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Boyd's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Myles Richardson, who posted 18 points. Richardson continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Spencer Harrison, who put up 15 points.

Boyd's victory bumped their record up to 2-9. As for Westlake Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Boyd will take on Seminole at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Boyd is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.4 points per game this season. As for Westlake Academy, they will square off against Coram Deo Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
