The Oakdale Mustangs really took it to the Lincoln Trojans for the full four quarters, racking up a 70-30 victory. With the Mustangs ahead 56-22 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Oakdale's defense made their presence known, laying out Julian Perez. three times. Wes Burford was especially locked on to Lincoln's QB and sacked him twice. Burford's rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his 15th straight game with at least 108 rushing yards dating back to last season.

The win got Oakdale back to even at 1-1. As for Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.
