Softball Preview: McKenzie Rebels vs. Clarksburg Rockets
McKenzie is 4-0 against Clarksburg since March of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The McKenzie Rebels will look to defend their home field against the Clarksburg Rockets at 5:00 p.m.
McKenzie fell victim to Dresden and their airtight pitching crew back in March. They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 10-0 walloping at the hands of the Lions.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last matchup, Clarksburg made sure to put some runs up on the board against Gleason on Friday. Clarksburg was the clear victor by a 13-3 margin over Gleason.
Addison Milam was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. Milam was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Clarksburg got a massive performance out of Libby Autry, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Alyssa Belew was another key contributor, going 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs, and a stolen base.
McKenzie now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Clarksburg, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.
