Softball Game Preview: Central Eagles vs. Chester Cyclones

The Central Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Chester Cyclones at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Central has now lost 16 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 12.

Central heads in on the heels of a playoff matchup on Wednesday. They lost 12-2 to Chesnee.

Meanwhile, Chester has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging four runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Wednesday. They came up short against Strom Thurmond, falling 13-2. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Cyclones couldn't push the score so high this time.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Chester, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-6.
