After having lost a blowout in their previous game against North Penn-Liberty, Wellsboro was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They skirted past the Cowanesque Valley Indians 5-3. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 4-6. As for Cowanesque Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Wellsboro will be playing at home against Coudersport at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Hornets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 10.8 runs per game this season. As for Cowanesque Valley, they are taking a road trip to face off against Oswayo Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Green Wave have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.5 runs per game on average), something the Indians will no doubt try to take advantage of.
