Softball Game Preview: Grosse Ile Red Devils vs. Milan Big Reds

Grosse Ile is 0-10 against Milan since May of 2018 but things could change on Wednesday. The Red Devils will square off against the Big Reds at 4:30 p.m. Grosse Ile has given up an average of 10 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Monday just wasn't the day for Grosse Ile's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 11-0 to Airport, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Red Devils' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last game, Milan made sure to put some runs up on the board against Flat Rock on Monday. The Big Reds came out on top against the Rams by a score of 12-9. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Big Reds as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Grosse Ile's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Milan, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.

Grosse Ile suffered a grim 12-0 defeat to Milan in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Red Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
