Baseball Recap: Pender Comes Up Short

Pender managed to slip by Hobbton the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Patriots lost 19-9 to the Wildcats on Friday. The loss leaves the Patriots still looking for their first win of the season.

Peyton Tant was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those runs marked the first that he has scored this season. Another player making a difference was Ledger Fedoronko, who earned two runs and one stolen base.

Pender's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Hobbton, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pender will square off against West Bladen at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hobbton, they will head out to challenge Lakewood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Wildcats' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
