Basketball Recap: Zeke Enos' Big Game Can't Quite Lead New Underwood over White River

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Friday. New Underwood fell just short of White River by a score of 59-56. New Underwood was not able to make up for their loss to White River from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

New Underwood's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zeke Enos, who went 8-for-13 on his way to 19 points and seven rebounds. That's the most points Enos has posted since back in December of 2024. Sam Enos was another key player, putting up 12 points and three steals.

Even though they lost, New Underwood smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in five consecutive matches.

New Underwood's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for White River, their win bumped their record up to 5-13.

New Underwood wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 75-32 victory against Faith on the 22nd. As for White River, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-55 defeat against Little Wound on the 22nd.
