Basketball Game Preview: Spooner Rails vs. Luck Cardinals

The Spooner Rails and the Luck Cardinals will round out the year against one another at at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Spooner is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Spooner was beaten by Amery 82-42.

Meanwhile, Luck ended up a good deal behind Turtle Lake on Friday and lost 76-58. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 319th, while the Lakers are ranked 119th).

Spooner's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Luck, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Spooner might still be hurting after the 89-68 defeat they got from Luck in their previous meeting back in December of 2018. Can Spooner avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
