Softball Recap: Saugerties Triumphs

Saugerties won the last time they faced Roosevelt and things went their way on Monday too. The Sawyers came out on top against the Presidents by a score of 6-3. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

The team relied heavily on Jess Gumbel, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Stefanie Cogswell, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
