Football Recap: Richards Picks Up Second Consecutive Win

While Richards's victory against Englewood Stem wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Warriors never let the Panthers get on the board and left with a 2-0 win on Saturday. Those two points were actually the fewest the Warriors have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

The victory made it two in a row for Richards and bumps their season record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 points in those games. As for Englewood Stem, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Richards will challenge rival Chicago Military Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Englewood Stem is set to square off against their familiar foe Solorio at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
