Volleyball Recap: Thomas More Prep-Marian Takes a Loss

Thomas More Prep-Marian lost against Smoky Valley back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Monarchs fell 2-0 to the Vikings. The Monarchs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Thomas More Prep-Marian was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-22.

Adi Gottschalk paced Thomas More Prep-Marian's offense, picking up four kills. Gottschalk got some help from Bria Windholz and her ten assists. Bridget Feldt controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Thomas More Prep-Marian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Smoky Valley, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coincidentally, Thomas More Prep-Marian and Smoky Valley will both be playing Rock Creek the next time they take the court. The Monarchs will head out to face the Mustangs on Thursday, while the Vikings will play them later in the day, at 5:00 p.m.
