Basketball Recap: Samueli Academy Comes Up Short

Samueli Academy played a tough match on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 65-31 loss at the hands of the Norwalk Lancers. The game marked the Firewolves' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the loss, Samueli Academy still got an impressive performance from Julian Chanelo, who posted 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Ordaz, who scored three points.

It was another big night for Andruw Castellanos, who went 7 of 11 on his way to 15 points and seven rebounds for Norwalk. Emmanuel Castellanos was another key player, putting up nine points and three steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Samueli Academy and nudges their season record down to 3-3. As for Norwalk, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Saddleback the next time they take the court. Norwalk will head out to face Saddleback at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Samueli Academy will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
