Football Recap: North Chicago Takes a Loss + How To Watch

North Chicago had lost three straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-6 to make it four. They were outmatched by the Lakes Eagles and fell 46-7. The Warhawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Despite the loss, North Chicago still got an impressive performance from Anthony Fisher, who rushed for 76 yards and one touchdown on only five carries. Fisher's longest rush was for an impressive 60 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

As for Lakes, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to yards per carry: they averaged an imposing 7.1 yards per carry in those games compared to only 3.54 in the others.

Ean Ankney produced another solid performance throwing for 118 yards and three TDs while completing 80% of his passes, and also punching in one score on the ground. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (157.5).

North Chicago wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 55-7 victory against Round Lake on the 17th. As for Lakes, they have also already played their next contest, a 35-0 win against Grayslake North on the 17th.
