Basketball Recap: Reading Memorial Comes Up Short

Reading Memorial lost against Arlington back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Reading Memorial Rockets were beaten by the Arlington Spy Ponders 67-40. While losing is never fun, the Rockets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 205th, while the Spy Ponders are ranked 35th).

Reading Memorial's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Arlington, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Reading Memorial will head out to take on Winchester at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Arlington, they will venture away from home to challenge Durfee at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday.
