Soccer Recap: Rocky Mountain Lutheran Takes a Loss

Rocky Mountain Lutheran and Nederland pushed the score to 8-0 the last time they played Nederland, but on Thursday defenses reigned supreme. The Eagles fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 1-0. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Rocky Mountain Lutheran couldn't quite close it out.

Isabella Curtis, who's played more minutes than anyone else on the Rocky Mountain Lutheran squad sat out for Thursday's contest. With Curtis sidelined, Rocky Mountain Lutheran had to make some changes to the lineup. Paisley Preston played for 40 minutes having averaged 25 this season and Ada Stephenson got 80 vs. an average of 48.9.

Rocky Mountain Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 2-6-4. As for Nederland, they now have a winning record of 5-4-3.

Looking ahead, Rocky Mountain Lutheran will square off against William Smith at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Rocky Mountain Lutheran is facing William Smith at the right time seeing as William Smith is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Nederland, they will face off against Aurora West College Prep Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
