Volleyball Recap: Clovis Christian Wins Going Away Against Hondo Valley

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Monday. Clovis Christian put the hurt on Hondo Valley with a sharp 3-0 win. This was payback for Clovis Christian, who suffered a 3-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Clovis Christian walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-17, 25-12.

Clovis Christian's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. As for Hondo Valley, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Clovis Christian will head out to face off against Wagon Mound at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Hondo Valley, after both having extra time off, they and Mountainair will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup will give the Eagles their first taste of in-conference action this season.
