Basketball Game Preview: Manor Mustangs vs. Round Rock Dragons

The Manor Mustangs will venture away from home to square off against the Round Rock Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Manor has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since November 25.

On Tuesday, Manor might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Belton an easy 75-49 win. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 944th, while the Tigers are ranked 70th).

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Kayden Chandler, who posted 13 points. Austin Androh was another key player, putting up four points and six boards.

Meanwhile, Round Rock came up short against Cedar Ridge on Friday and fell 58-48. While the Dragons didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Raiders 17-12 in the first quarter.

Manor's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Round Rock, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 10-4.

Manor was dealt a bruising 82-38 loss at the hands of Round Rock when the teams last played back in January. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
