Basketball Game Preview: Northglenn Norsemen vs. Thornton Trojans

Northglenn and Thornton are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2016, but not for long. The Northglenn Norsemen will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Thornton Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Northglenn fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against DSST: Conservatory Green on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 64-62. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (60), the Norsemen still had to take the loss.

Northglenn's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Noah Scrivani, who went 7 of 17 on his way to 18 points, and ?? ?, who made all 5 shots he took racking up 13 points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance gave Scrivani a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Braxton Dykstra, who posted eight points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Thornton, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 70-57 win over Eagle Ridge Academy on Tuesday.

The victory got Thornton back to even at 2-2. As for Northglenn, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 2-2.
