Soccer Recap: New Ulm Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, New Ulm couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Como Park Cougars on Wednesday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as New Ulm came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota soccer rankings (they are ranked 19th, while Como Park are ranked 64th).

New Ulm's loss dropped their record down to 14-3-2. As for Como Park, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-5-1.

As of now, neither New Ulm nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
